If you’ve never heard of Full Circle, it’s a subscription service that delivers a box of farm fresh, organic produce to your door every week (available in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho). I was super excited to try this out, because frankly, I’ve been lacking inspiration for meal planning and cooking lately. Let’s just be real – we’ve been eating eggs for dinner waayyy too often. Whenever I go to the grocery store, I always get stuck in a rut and buy the same fruits and veggies week after week. Cooking just kind of gets boring after awhile when you’re always making the same things. What’s cool about Full Circle is that they will deliver a nice variety to your doorstep, all for only $29.95 per week. They also include a couple bonus recipes for some added inspiration! We’ve received 2 boxes so far and I’m here to give you my honest opinions.
What I love about Full Circle
- I’m excited to cook again! Receiving a box full of fruits and veggies makes me feel inspired to cook again because I’m determined not to waste anything we’re paying for. This week, we got a bunch of asparagus in our box and I made lemon butter asparagus pasta with grilled chicken. It turned out delicious, and after dinner Kevin commented, and I quote, “Lauren I’m not even kidding you, that pasta blew my mind.” Pretty high praise coming from a guy who hates asparagus! Recipe coming soon.
- You can customize your box. I love that Full Circle gives you the option to customize your box. Each week, they have a 3 day window where you can go online and see what will be in your box and swap out whatever items you want. The first week I swapped out about half of the items for things I knew we would eat, and still ended up with a nice variety that was perfectly portioned. This week, I forgot to make changes and was still pretty happy with what we got, although I know we won’t get through all the tomatoes or the honeydew.
- It keeps us eating fresh foods, even when we don’t have time to grocery shop. You know those weeks when you just flat out don’t have time to go to the grocery store before the week starts, and then you end up either eating out or eating spaghetti with jarred pasta sauce and nothing else? Yep, pretty sure we’ve all been there. With Full Circle, we automatically get produce each Monday morning, which provides fresh fruits and veggies to add to our lunches and a healthy starting point for dinner (just add protein!). I love that Full Circle takes the pressure off.
- It’s organic and locally grown. I don’t really have anything else to say about this, other than I love that we’re eating pesticide-free produce and supporting our local farmers. That’s something to feel good about!
I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about Full Circle, other than the fact that we got a honeydew in our box and I’m not a huge honeydew fan. But really, that’s my own fault because I forgot to customize our box, even though they sent me an email about it. Full Circle has encouraged us to cook more and eat better, and although it may cost a bit more than what I’d normally spend at the grocery store, it’s definitely worth the trade! Plus, it’s just plain fun to get a box at your doorstep full of bright colorful things. 🙂
