I’ve gotta be honest, this week was kinda hard. I’ve been feeling a little lost with what I’m doing and where I’m going in life, and thinking about all kinds of new things like grad school (pursuing my masters in nutrition), my creative goals (blogging and photography), and relational goals (being intentional and opening up to people). I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately, and came to the realization that I’m not living up to my full potential in life. I so easily let fear hinder me from stepping into the things that God has called me to. Grad school sounds terrifying because of the financial commitment, I’m timid to pursue blogging and photography because I’m afraid of failure and judgement, and I’m nervous to pursue my relational goals because I’m scared of vulnerability and awkward moments. So, instead of doing anything that would remotely put me outside of my comfort zone, I sit back and do nothing and feel miserable.
Earlier this week, a few women from my church got together to talk about life and dig deeper in our faith. We talked about our dreams, hopes, fears, struggles, and ambitions, and realized that we were all feeling the exact same way. Our conversation was super encouraging and I walked away feeling inspired to walk in boldness and ask God to continue to shape me daily and enjoy the present moments. ALL that said, I’m looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend. I plan to clean, cook (and photograph it for the blog), spend time with my sweet husband, have friends over, and watch the Superbowl (and Lady Gaga?)!
Now, after that SUPER long intro (thanks for reading!), here are my Friday faves:
Favorite Candle | Pink Neroli Petals Glass Hobnail Jar Candle
This candle from World Market smells amazing, and makes me think of spring. Who else is ready for some sunshine?!
Favorite Bootie | Sam Edelman ‘Petty’ Chelsea Boot
Totally loving these neutral ankle booties. They’re perfect for this time of year because they’re wearable through both winter and spring. Pair with some skinny jeans and an oversized cardigan = winter. Pair with a cute swingy dress and a denim jacket = spring. Perf!
Favorite All Natural Cleaner | Thieves Essential Oil
A friend of mine introduced me to this and I’m obsessed. Since we moved into our new house, I’ve been trying to eliminate chemicals and transition to only natural cleaning products. I use a blend of distilled water and Young Living’s Thieves essential oil to clean all my counter tops. Not only is it and natural chemical-free, but it deep cleans and smells great (kinda like chai tea!) To use, fill a glass spray bottle with distilled water and add 8-10 drops of oil. Easy!
Favorite Workout-Wear Pt. 1| Featherlight Tight
I love the simplicity of these workout leggings, and the cute design on the side. Designed especially for yoga, but also includes a pocket which makes them great for running on cold days. They’re on sale right now, so get ’em while you can!
Favorite Workout-Wear Pt. 2 | Simply Bare Bra
I seriously think this is so cute with the high neck and criss-cross back. Plus, it’s super soft and comfy for those easy workouts, or just lounging around. Love!
Favorite Book | Greater, by Steven Furtick
This book. It’s a total life-changer. It’ll make you think, make you laugh, make you tear up. It’s such a good one, and an easy read – I highly recommend it. This March my husband and I are starting a small group and we’re planning to go through this book and the video curriculum, which I’m stoked for!
Those are my Friday faves for this week — what are yours?!
